The Jacksonville City Council approved a small-scale future land use map (FLUM) amendment for a 0.11-acre vacant lot at the end of Veronica Street. The land use designation was changed from Public Buildings and Facilities (PBF) to Low Density Residential (LDR) to facilitate the construction of a single-family home. This change aligns the parcel with the surrounding residential properties in the Murray Hill neighborhood. The Planning Department, Planning Commission, and the Land Use & Zoning Committee all recommended approval, finding the amendment consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan. A companion rezoning from Planned Unit Development (PUD) to Residential Low-Density-60 (RLD-60) was processed concurrently. The final approval was granted by the City Council with a vote of 4-0 from the LUZ committee.
