The Jacksonville Land Use & Zoning Committee approved a rezoning for the Cornerstone Classical Academy's 16.11-acre campus. The property, located at 2360 Saint Johns Bluff Road, was rezoned from one Planned Unit Development (PUD 2023-0599) to a new PUD. The primary purpose of this rezoning is to modify and update the signage regulations for the charter school campus, allowing for a new monument sign and additional wall signage. The Planning Commission had previously recommended approval with a 6-0 vote. The approval carries forward several conditions from the original PUD concerning road access via Fraser Road, traffic studies, student queuing monitoring, and exterior lighting standards to minimize off-site impact.
