The City of Houston is seeking approval for a 4th Amendment to the existing agreement with The Salvation Army. This amendment aims to extend the contract for an additional 21 months, from January 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, and increase the maximum contract amount by $3,100,000.00. The total amended contract amount will be $5,850,000.00. The Salvation Army provides emergency shelter and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Houston. Services include shelter, meals, case management, and access to resources like job training and housing assistance. This extension will allow The Salvation Army to continue its vital services, ensuring continuity of care for vulnerable populations in the city. The City Controller has certified that funds are available for this amendment.
