The City of Columbus approved a temporary quitclaim easement for ASMRE Holdings, LLC on a 0.048-acre portion of city-owned land near the Hoover Reservoir. ASMRE, which owns the adjacent residential property at 4461 South Old 3C Highway, requested the easement to construct erosion control measures and stabilize the city's embankment. The Department of Public Utilities and the Recreation and Parks Department reviewed and approved the plans. The easement, granted at no cost, will expire on May 1, 2027, after which ASMRE will execute a Land Stewardship License Agreement for ongoing maintenance. The ordinance was passed as an emergency measure to expedite the stabilization work.
