The Columbus City Council has approved an ordinance to provide a $5,000,000 grant to Healthy Linden Homes V LLC, a non-profit developer. This funding, sourced from the city's Affordable Housing Bond Fund, will support the new construction of 23 affordable rental housing units in the Linden neighborhood (zip code 43211). The project consists of 11 single-family homes and 6 duplexes, developed as infill housing on lots where previous structures were demolished. Eleven of the homes will be modular units built by Unibilt Industries, with the remainder being traditional stick-built construction. The development targets families earning no more than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). All residents will have access to supportive services through Nationwide Children's Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families (HNHF) programming, including health, educational, and workforce opportunities.
