The Columbus City Council authorized a land transfer to facilitate the expansion of the Franklin Park Conservatory. The city will accept a 27.961-acre property from the Franklin Park Conservatory Joint Recreational District (FPC) and then quitclaim it back to the FPC, along with an additional 0.863-acre city-owned parcel. This transfer enables the FPC to build a new parking deck and visitors center. The agreement includes provisions requiring the FPC to construct a new parking lot for the city's Espy Adaptive Sports Complex and grant public access to its restrooms and parking garage. The entire transaction was conducted at no cost.
