The Columbus City Council authorized an $8.28 million contract with Performance Pipelining, Inc. for the second phase of the Blueprint Hilltop 1 - Palmetto/Westgate Lateral Lining Project. This initiative aims to reduce sanitary sewer overflows and basement flooding in the Hilltop neighborhood by rehabilitating existing sewer laterals. The project involves cleaning, televising, and lining the underground pipes that connect private properties to the main public sewer line. This work is part of a consent order with the Ohio EPA under the city's Wet Weather Management Plan. The total authorized expenditure for the project is $8,275,325.55, funded through a loan from the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund. Work is expected to be completed within 540 days.
