The Columbus City Council authorized the Board of Health to accept a $3,382,868 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the Ryan White Part A HIV Care program. The funds are for the period of March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, and aim to improve medical care access for Central Ohio residents living with HIV/AIDS. The program's goal is to achieve viral suppression, thereby enhancing quality of life and reducing infection spread. Services supported include outpatient medical care, mental health services, medical case management, housing services, and emergency financial assistance. In 2024, the program served 2,325 people.
