The City of Columbus approved the annexation of 474.34 acres of land located on the east side of Groveport Road, approximately 1,600 feet south of London-Groveport Road, from Pleasant Township, Franklin County. The annexed area will be zoned L-R-1 (Limited Rural-Agricultural District). This action facilitates future residential development within the newly incorporated area, which was previously zoned R-1 (Rural-Agricultural District) in Pleasant Township. The annexation was requested by the City of Columbus as the applicant. The decision was made by the City Council and also involved the adoption of an emergency measure.
