The Chicago City Council approved the sale of a city-owned vacant lot at 4840 S. St. Lawrence Ave. to developer Jaroslaw Madry for $120,000. The sale was facilitated through the city's ChiBlockBuilder platform, which aims to sell vacant municipal parcels for development. Madry plans to construct two 3-unit residential buildings on the 6,250 SF site, creating a total of six new housing units. Each building will contain three 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom units and a 3-space parking garage. The total estimated project cost is $1,433,000, and no zoning change was required for the RM-5 zoned property.
