The Chicago City Council approved a zoning change for the properties located at 634-724 W. 95th Street. This ordinance rezones an area bounded by South Emerald Avenue, the alley north of West 95th Street, South Lowe Avenue, and West 95th Street. The previous zoning designations were RS-2 (Residential Single-Unit), RS-3 (Residential Single-Unit), and B2-3 (Neighborhood Mixed-Use District). The new designation is RT-4, which allows for the development of two-flats, townhouses, and multi-unit residential buildings. The change was sponsored by Alderman Ronnie L. Mosley and was passed by the council on November 14, 2025.
