The Chicago City Council approved an ordinance to reclassify several parcels at 3250-3256 W. Franklin Boulevard, 519-523 N. Spaulding Avenue, and 520-522 N. Sawyer Avenue. The zoning for the area was changed from Planned Development District (PD 836) to a B3-1, Community Shopping District. The ordinance was passed by the City Council on November 14, 2025, following a recommendation for passage from the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards on November 3, 2025.
