The Charlotte City Council approved a $1,231,169.50 contract with United of Carolinas, Inc. for the Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Project. This action also included the rejection of a non-responsive lower bid of $1,150,668.20 from Efficient Developments, LLC, due to non-compliance with the Charlotte Business INClusion (CBI) Program. The approved contract is part of an ongoing city program to repair and improve storm drainage systems. The work will specifically address systems at 6032 and 6108 Bridlewood Lane. United of Carolinas, Inc. was selected as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder among six submissions. The project is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2026.
