The Charlotte City Council approved a $5,854,732.73 contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC for the second phase of the McAlpine Creek sanitary sewer rehabilitation. This project will restore large-diameter sewer lines near Johnston Road in Council District 7. Insituform Technologies was selected as the lowest responsive bidder out of seven submissions. The project exceeded its minority and women-owned business enterprise (MWSBE) goal, committing 4% ($234,118) to Procoat, INC for manhole rehabilitation. Funding for the project will come from the Charlotte Water Capital Investment Plan. The rehabilitation is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2026.
