The city, which holds a master lease on the property, is subleasing the space to the dance studio as part of its strategy to support small businesses and build an equitable economy in East Charlotte. The initial lease term is five years, with one four-year renewal option. The annual lease rate starts at $12 per square foot, increasing by 3% annually, plus 15% of gross sales exceeding $325,000.
