The Charlotte City Council approved a rezoning petition for approximately 14.86 acres located on the south side of Providence Road, north of Piper Glen Drive. The previous zoning was R-3 (Single Family Residential) and B-1 (Neighborhood Business). The new zoning is MUDD-O (Mixed Use Development District – Optional). The approval allows for the development of up to 295 multifamily residential units and up to 15,000 square feet of commercial space. The project is being developed by PulteGroup, Inc.
